Clown Ministry, (Room #2) Wednesday, April 16, 10:15 pm - 11:15 pm |
Laura "Marmalade" Nadell has been involved in Clown Ministry since 1989 where she taught youth in a summer program at her church. In 1991, she founded "The Sonshine Troupe" to continue the ministry year round with youth and adults. This group ministers to churches, nursing homes and at local clown conventions.
She has lead workshops in Clown Ministry at "Spring in the Clowns", the annual Northeast Clown Convention and the New England Association for Christian Education. The past two years she has lead an all day seminar on Clown Ministry in Methuen, MA. In 1995 she attended Clown Ministry week at Clown Camp in LaCrosse, WI.
She is a member of COAI and the South Shore Joeys Alley 159 where she is an active board member. She is co-chairperson for the newly formed Northeast Association of Christian Clowns. She has participated in various competitions in the Northeast placing 2nd in skits, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in several makeup categories.
She resides in Whitman, MA with her husband, David, and their three children, Christopher, Matthew, and Sarah Rose.
