Renaissance water spitting, tongue-twisting gibberish, breathless stunts and wild comedy!
Alexander, King of Jesters, will perform his unusual comedy at the Terrace Courtyard on April 18, 1997 at 12:00 Noon.
This offbeat performance includes Renaissance water spitting, fertility dances, the nose flute serenade, pogo stick 'boing-ing', clown love, jingle bell juggling, twisted sticks of the forest, three flutes played simultaneously, and other routines inspired by the rich tradition of the fool.
During the act, he speaks a magical sounding gibberish language called Grammelot that originated in Europe centuries ago. In those times nearly every village had its own dialect, and traveling jesters and troubadours needed to find a way to bridge the language gap. It serves Alexander today since he often performs abroad.
He was introduced on the Good Day Show as, "One of the best one-man acts that we've ever seen. He's had our studio in stitches!". Alexander has thrilled audiences at theaters, festivals, and community events throughout the East Coast, and has been featured at International festivals in Australia, France, Belgium, Japan, Quebec, and New Zealand.
